Genotyping
The Fragment Analysis Facility (FAF) offers low throughput custom genotyping services using PCR based methods to analyze STR, VNTR and SNP polymorphisms. The FAF, in conjunction with the DNA Analysis Facility, also offers SNP discovery by Sanger sequencing.
The FAF offers multiple levels of service from design and development of customized PCR primers to sizing analysis. DNA sample preparation is also available.
SNP detection is by TaqMan analysis with custom or predesigned kits on an Applied Biosystems 7900HT Real Time PCR System or by sequencing analysis of PCR products on an Applied Biosystems 3730XL DNA Analyzer.
