Genotyping
The Fragment Analysis Facility is a low throughput custom genotyping laboratory offering services in SNPs analysis, fluorescent fragment analysis of VNTRs and STRs, fragment analysis by standard agarose gel electrophoresis, and SNP discovery by DNA sequencing.
SNPs detection methods include TaqMan (Applied Biosystems) using a 7900HT PCR system, NanoChip Molecular Biology Workstation (Nanogen, Inc.), and sequencing of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products.
Length polymorphisms are analyzed by PCR followed by agarose or capillary electrophoresis.
